Harish Shankar's Pawan Kalyan-starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh (UBS) is set to release in theatres on March 19, clashing with Aditya Dhar's Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The film's trailer featured Pawan as a police officer in the remake of Vijay's 2016 film Theri. However, the internet couldn't help but notice that Pawan had repeated a costume from his 2025 film They Call Him OG in it.
The UBS trailer showed Pawan's character holding a gun and delivering a punchline while dressed in a monochrome outfit with an intricate belt buckle, sparking flashbacks to a scene in OG where he's dressed almost the same, holding a gun, and firing it in frustration.
Internet users took to X to share pictures and clips from both scenes, jokingly asking which one was OG and which one was UBS. Some even slammed the makers for reusing shots from OG, while others praised the style and acting in the scene.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh is directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It stars Pawan Kalyan, Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, and others, and will have benefit shows in Andhra Pradesh from 4 AM on Friday, with premiere tickets going for ₹500.
