90s pop star Shweta Shetty, known for hits like Deewane Toh Deewane Hai, is set to perform in Mumbai next month. She spoke about her upcoming show, saying it will be a unique blend of her favorite songs, including Reshma's Lambi Judaai and Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.
Shweta left India at the peak of her popularity to marry her ex-husband Clemens Brandt in Germany. She recalled that time, saying that despite being categorized as a business-like artist, she has a sensitive heart. She added that she has no regrets about not having a child, as her ex-husband did not want one.
Shweta, who stood out in the industry with her dusky look, curly hair, and husky voice, recalls being asked to change her appearance to fit the industry's standards. However, she never compromised on who she was and continued to wear traditional wear only occasionally.
The artiste credits yoga for her fitness and says she's excited to collaborate with today's artistes like Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh. Meanwhile, she admits that she and her contemporary Sunita Rao were often confused to be each other by the audience.
