Los Angeles Dodgers fans are eagerly awaiting the return of their star player Shohei Ohtani, who has been absent from the lineup due to paternity leave. The Japanese superstar welcomed his second child with wife Mamiko Tanaka over the weekend.

Ohtani took to Instagram to share the joyful news, thanking those who supported him and his wife throughout the journey to parenthood. The Dodgers initially did not place Ohtani on the paternity leave list, but later clarified the situation, stating he is expected to return to the team this weekend.

Manager Dave Roberts also shared that he expected Ohtani to rejoin the team during the weekend series against the Orioles, with a return as early as Saturday remaining a possibility. The Dodgers edged the Orioles 6-5 without their superstar, and fans will be eager to see Ohtani back in the lineup as soon as he returns.
