Ahmed Al Ahmed, the Sydney man hailed as a hero for saving dozens of lives during a deadly mass shooting on Bondi Beach, has been accused of domestic abuse and assaulting his father.
Months after the incident, Ahmed, 44, has been charged with assault and stalking, according to New South Wales police.
He will face court on June 29, police said, but Ahmed has denied the allegations, terming them 'fake information'.
Al-Ahmed was widely praised after the mass shooting during the Jewish Hanukkah festival, where he tackled one of the two shooters and wrestled a gun from him.
He sustained serious injuries in the face-off with the terror accused and was praised for rising up to the occasion.
A fundraiser set up for him raised over $1 million, and he received cheers and applause from a packed Sydney Cricket Ground before the start of the final Ashes Test in January 2026.
