Dubai Abu Dhabi news LIVE: Iran's military warned the UAE against allowing attacks from its territory on disputed islands, threatening to target Ras Al Khaimah. The US is deploying more troops to the region.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the UAE's port city of Ras Al Khaimah could be targeted if its strategically located islands are attacked again.

The escalation follows intensified Iranian retaliation after Israeli strikes on its South Pars gas field, resulting in heavy casualties and disrupting global energy markets.

The crisis is beginning to weigh on Dubai's economy, with a sharp decline in transaction volumes and shares of Emaar Properties dropping more than 26% since the conflict began.

Airspace restrictions and safety concerns have severely disrupted aviation across the region, with Emirates operating a reduced schedule and Etihad Airways running limited commercial services.

The West Asia conflict is increasingly taking on a broader regional dimension, raising concerns of further escalation in the days ahead.
