Karen Read, a woman accused of murdering her boyfriend, a Boston police officer, has filed a lawsuit against the Massachusetts State Police and the Town of Canton. The lawsuit alleges obscene and racist texts exchanged between former state trooper Michael Proctor and Canton police officer Sean Goode.
According to the lawsuit, Proctor made several disturbing comments, including telling Goode to let a Black motorist die in a car accident. He also expressed admiration for Hitler and made racist and sexist remarks.
Goode allegedly referred to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu as a 'little [c—t]' and Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey as someone who can 'suck my [d--k]'. The lawsuit also claims that both Proctor and Goode had long-standing biases against women and repeatedly discussed performing sexual acts on women.
The Massachusetts State Police have since terminated Proctor, citing the disturbing messages as 'inconsistent with any basic standard of decency'.
