Actor-politician Ramya has sparked a heated debate with her sharp remark on the Supreme Court's comment about a dog's mood being unpredictable, likening it to men's behavior. The Supreme Court had stated that it's impossible to determine a dog's mood, in response to a petition challenging its order on stray dogs. The apex court argued that treating animals with empathy can prevent attacks. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal had argued that invading a dog's space can lead to attacks, to which Justice Vikram Nath responded that the issue is not just about biting, but also the threat caused by dogs. A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court was hearing the case. Ramya, known for her strong opinions on social issues, reacted to the remark on Instagram, saying, "We can't read a man's mind either, so should we put all men in jail?" This is not the first time Ramya has made a strong statement on a sensitive issue. She has been vocal about social and civic importance. The stray dogs row has sparked protests across the nation, with hundreds of people gathering at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over the weekend to protest the Supreme Court's order. Protestors argued that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) should be held accountable for failing to control the dog population and that stray dogs should be returned to their original location for vaccination and sterilisation. The debate has sparked a wider discussion on empathy, justice, and the role of the Supreme Court in making decisions that impact animal welfare and human rights.
