Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has appointed his son Nara Lokesh as the TDP working president.

This marks a significant change in the party's leadership structure, with Lokesh taking on a key role after functioning as the party's national general secretary.

Naidu has also revamped the party's politburo, national committee, and state committee, with 29, 31, and 185 members respectively.

The new committees aim to balance experience and fresh leadership, with a focus on social representation, loyalty, and hard work.

The TDP leadership stated that the restructuring exercise was overseen by Naidu, who carefully weighed political, social, and regional equations.
