The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled a pan-India darknet drug network, seizing over 2,000 LSD blots and other narcotic substances. Investigations revealed the network, rated four stars on the darknet, had been active since January 2025 and may have carried out over 1,000 deliveries across the country.

The network sourced drugs from international darknet vendors in the Netherlands, Poland, and Germany, and distributed them across India. NCB officers seized 2,338 LSD blotters, 160 MDMA pills, and other substances from 13 domestically intercepted parcels and two parcels from the Netherlands.

The investigation highlighted the growing use of darknet marketplaces and encrypted communication platforms by drug traffickers. The seized LSD blotters, each costing ₹4,000 to ₹8,000, are a potent hallucinogenic drug with no colour, taste, or smell.

The darknet vendor 'Team Kalki' was operated by Anurag Thakur and Vikas Rathi, who were previously arrested in drug trafficking cases. The NCB said orders were received through encrypted platforms, and consignments were dispatched through courier and parcel services.

The investigation also uncovered the use of a dead drop delivery technique, where parcels were placed at predetermined locations instead of being handed over directly to customers. Several consignments were intercepted before delivery in various states, and details of those cases are being analysed.
