BJP MP Kangana Ranaut praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Lok Sabha debate on the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, calling him the 'only flag bearer of feminism'. She stated that Indian daughters believe PM Modi is the biggest feminist and will forever be grateful for his faith in women.

Ranaut backed the linkage of the bill with the delimitation exercise, calling it a 'constitutional necessity', and noted that PM Modi consistently advocated against female foeticide during his tenure in Gujarat.

Addressing opposition's criticism that the bill has been rushed, Kangana said PM Modi is 'rushing to give justice to women of India'. The Lok Sabha MP from Himachal's Mandi was addressing the lower house during a special session to discuss the three bills that seek to increase the seats from 543 to 850 and ensure one-third women's representation.
