The discussion focused on improving public health infrastructure, enhancing patient-centric services, and implementing national health initiatives. To address the shortage of quality and affordable medicines, Nadda emphasized the need for more Jan Aushadhi Kendras and AMRIT Pharmacy stores in the two states. The meeting also touched on the importance of district and block-specific strategies to combat tuberculosis, with Nadda reiterating the need for intensified screening, diagnostics, treatment adherence, and nutritional support. He stressed that eliminating tuberculosis requires a mission-mode approach with regular monitoring at the grassroots level. To ensure the effective implementation of priority health programs, Nadda proposed conducting sensitization workshops for MLAs, encouraging them to engage with chief medical officers and block medical officers through structured review mechanisms. The health ministers of Rajasthan and Maharashtra assured Nadda of their cooperation and commitment to working closely with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Centre has pledged continued support to both states through the National Health Mission, public-private partnerships, and infrastructure development. Nadda's review meetings have also included discussions with health ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana in the past fortnight.
