Nida Khan, 26, an accused in the sexual harassment case at a TCS-linked BPO in Nashik, has moved the Nashik Sessions Court for anticipatory bail. Khan is one of eight accused in the case, with seven of them already arrested. Her family claims she is not absconding, despite the police setting up teams to trace and arrest her.

The Nashik city police have registered nine FIRs against eight employees of the BPO, including one against Khan, following complaints from nine employees who accused senior colleagues of sexual abuse, harassment, and religious coercion.

Khan's defence lawyers claim she has been falsely implicated and has no record of any criminal activity. The police, however, have seized her mobile phone and are investigating her WhatsApp chats.

A fact-finding team of the National Commission for Women has started investigating the case, which has expanded in scope following multiple complaints. The team is likely to visit the firm's office in Nashik on Sunday.

In a related development, the court of additional chief judicial magistrate R C Narwadiya extended the police custody of two accused, Raza Memon and Shafi Shaikh, till April 20, citing progress in the investigation.
