PM Modi Vows to Protect Indians Amid Escalating US-Iran Conflict

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed concern over the escalating US-Iran-Israel conflict, saying the situation in West Asia is a 'grave concern for us'. Speaking at a joint press conference with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Modi emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.
He reiterated India's stance on foreign policy, stating that the country has consistently advocated for peace and stability. Modi also assured the safety of Indians living in West Asia, saying that India will continue to work with countries in the region to ensure their security.
Modi had a phone call with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the regional situation and pressed for an 'early cessation of hostilities'. He also spoke with the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, strongly condemning the Iranian retaliatory attacks on the country.
The Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to review the situation in West Asia and directed all concerned departments to take necessary measures to assist Indian nationals affected by the recent developments.
