Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the BRICS summit in India later this year, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. The summit's exact dates and schedule are yet to be announced.
The 18th BRICS summit will be held under the theme 'Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability', reflecting a people-centric approach.
This will be Putin's second visit to India within a year, following his visit in December 2025 for the India-Russia Annual Summit.
During his previous visit, Putin and PM Modi reaffirmed their support for strengthening the special strategic partnership between India and Russia.
