A Delhi court has summoned Robert Vadra, husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and eight others in a money laundering case related to a land deal in Haryana's Shikohpur.
The court took cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) charge sheet filed in July last year and asked the accused to appear on May 16.
The ED has alleged that Robert Vadra's firm, Sky Light Hospitality, fraudulently purchased the land from Onkareshwar Properties in 2008.
The agency claims that false declarations were made in the land acquisition and that a commercial license was obtained through personal influence.
The ED has also alleged that ₹7.5 crores shown as payment for the land was through a cheque that was never encashed.
The land was later sold to DLF for a higher amount.
