New Delhi, On June 9, witness a spectacular celestial event as Venus and Jupiter appear remarkably close in the sky. Nehru Planetarium will host a free public sky-watching session from 7:30 PM onwards at Teen Murti Bhawan.
This rare conjunction occurs when two planets align along our line of sight, making them appear side by side. Although Jupiter is 900 million km away and Venus is 180 million km away, they will be separated by just 1.5 degrees, roughly equal to the width of a little finger held at arm's length.
Astronomy enthusiasts are invited to join this special observation session, which will be visible until approximately 8:30 PM, subject to weather and sky conditions.
