The TCS Nashik case has taken a new turn with allegations of coercion and exploitation emerging. A 23-year-old woman alleged that she was encouraged to watch videos of a Pakistani preacher and was discouraged from following her own faith. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed a chargesheet against three accused, including Danish Shaikh, Tausif Attar, and Nida Khan.
According to the chargesheet, Shaikh allegedly promised to marry the woman and encouraged her to abandon her Hindu practices. He also allegedly introduced her to Islamic concepts and traditions, including Jannah and Qurbani. The woman claimed that she was convinced that accepting the Islamic religion would ease her mental stress.
The FIR also accuses Nida Khan of influencing employees through a WhatsApp group, pressuring them to pray and consume non-vegetarian food. A Nashik court has postponed the hearing on the bail pleas of the accused to June 12.
The case came to light after the woman's family approached the police, alleging that she had begun observing Ramadan fasts and wearing a hijab. The police deployed undercover women officers to gather information, and the investigation is still underway.
