A 22-year-old truck driver, Deepu Kumar, was charred to death after getting trapped inside his mangled cabin following a collision between two trucks on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway in Gurugram's Farrukhnagar.
The collision occurred early Saturday, and by the time rescue teams reached the spot, both trucks had caught fire.
According to police, the Haryana-registered truck had rammed the Uttar Pradesh-registered truck, resulting in a fire that engulfed both vehicles.
Fire department officials received information about the incident at 1.57 am and pulled out the charred remains of the driver's body from the rear truck.
The police are investigating the cause of the collision and the fire, and the family members of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
