Dutch coach Sjoerd Marijne was impressed with the Indian women's hockey team's performance in the Nations Cup, where they defeated hosts New Zealand 2-0 to win the tournament and qualify for the Women's FIH Pro League.

However, Marijne feels that his side needs to improve their conversion rate, noting that they didn't score many field goals during the tournament.

India were in hot form during the tournament, defeating USA, Japan, and Uruguay in the pool stage, before easing past Chile in the semifinal.

Marijne, who is in his second stint as the head coach of the Indian women's hockey team, said that they need to work on converting chances into goals.

He praised the team's defensive structure and said that they had a few big opportunities in the final, but were still able to score two goals.

This is Marijne's second stint as the head coach of the Indian women's hockey team, having previously led them to a fourth-placed finish at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
