A scramble has seized the squash world as players prepare for the qualification process for the 2028 Olympics. The Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, will offer the gold medallists in squash the first guaranteed spot at the Los Angeles Olympics.
India's Ramit Tandon and Anahat Singh, ranked No. 37 and No. 20 respectively, have tweaked their plans to focus on the Asian Games. Tandon will compete at the JSW Indian Open in Mumbai, while Singh will defend her title in Mumbai this week.
The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has also taken note of the situation, with the PSA World Championships in Cairo in May being affected by the ongoing war in West Asia. The PSA is keeping a close watch and may shuffle the tournament dates.
