Amazon Prime Video encountered issues during the highly anticipated Thursday Night Football (TNF) game between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys. Many users took to social media platforms to express their frustration with the streaming service's poor performance. Some reported experiencing lag, freezing, and low video quality, despite having stable internet connections. In response to the complaints, Amazon's customer support team suggested troubleshooting steps to resolve the issues. However, many users were left unsatisfied, with some even considering abandoning the service altogether. A user on X commented, 'We're thinking about turning it off here at the shop. It's giving us epileptic seizures,' highlighting the severity of the problem. Another user expressed concern over the decline in Prime Video's stream quality, stating, 'Is it me or has the Prime stream quality fallen off a cliff?' Notably, users with stable internet speeds still experienced issues, suggesting that the problem might lie with Prime Video's infrastructure. One user noted, 'My internet speeds are blazing and yet I can't get past 2 minutes of Amazon prime TNF without it pausing. This is ridiculous.' The interface on the platform was also criticized for being difficult to navigate, particularly during live events. A user wrote, '@AmazonVideo is the absolute worst interface streaming on TVs, where everyone wants to watch football. Terrible terrible interface. Impossible to fast forward and rewind. Light years behind.' Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions took an early lead in the game, with a score of 10-3 against the Dallas Cowboys at the time of writing.
