Bangladesh's government has taken a firm stance on maintaining law and order ahead of national elections. In a meeting at the State Guest House Jamuna, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus reviewed the country's overall security situation with top officials.
Key issues discussed included the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, security measures for upcoming celebrations, and the investigation into the killing of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi.
In a separate development, police have identified 31 suspects in connection with attacks on national newspapers and cultural organizations. Six individuals have been arrested, and operations to apprehend the remaining suspects are ongoing.
Additionally, authorities have identified three individuals involved in attempts to create unrest near the Indian Assistant High Commissioner's residence in Chattogram. The government has vowed to expedite arrests and maintain law and order at all costs to ensure a peaceful election process.
