In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Sam Hussein, a successful Arab businessman, and Nicholas Huff of Huff's Tree Farm have come to the rescue of Dearborn, Michigan, by gifting a $10,000 Christmas tree to the city. The tree lighting tradition, a beloved holiday event in Dearborn Heights, was on the brink of cancellation due to the previous administration's failed attempt to secure a tree, which got stuck overseas. The new mayor, Mo Baydoun, revealed that officials had to decide between scrapping the event or finding a replacement tree. That's when Huff's Tree Farm and Hussein stepped in to save the day. While Huff's company covered part of the cost, Hussein footed the remaining $5,000 bill, ensuring the tree lighting ceremony could go ahead as planned. But who is Sam Hussein? The 34-year-old entrepreneur is the owner of Metrotech Automotive Group on Michigan Avenue in east Dearborn. His company has contracts with prominent agencies like the FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, and state and county agencies, including the Michigan State Police and Wayne County Sheriff's office. A native of Dearborn, Hussein grew up with a passion for cars and built his business with his brother while attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn. After his father's passing, he pursued a master's degree in business and expanded his enterprise. Hussein has become a respected figure in the community, serving as a board member of the Wayne County Building Authority. When asked about his decision to gift the Christmas tree, Hussein said, 'I thought it was the right thing to do given the circumstances. They had a tree-lighting ceremony set up for this Friday and they were really on a time crunch, and this is our way of giving back.' The tree lighting ceremony is now scheduled to take place on Friday at 6:30 pm outside Dearborn Heights City Hall. The generosity of Hussein and Huff's Tree Farm has not only saved the event but has also brought the community together in the true spirit of the holiday season.
