DOJ Epstein Files Mystery: 16 Files Vanish from Public Database, Including Photo of Trump, Maxwell, and Melania
At least 16 Epstein files from the DOJ's online repository have mysteriously disappeared just a day after they were released, including a Trump photo.
In a shocking development, at least 16 files from the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) online repository of Epstein files have disappeared just a day after their release, sparking concerns about transparency.
The files, made public on December 19 as part of a congressional mandate, included a photograph of former President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and Ghislaine Maxwell. The photo was among the documents that were briefly accessible on the DOJ webpage before being removed without explanation.
House Oversight Democrats have raised alarms, pointing out that the DOJ's list of released files jumped from EFTA00000467 to EFTA00000469, suggesting that EFTA00000468, the file containing the Trump photo, was removed from the public index after initial publication.
The missing files also included images of paintings depicting nude women and a series of photographs found in a credenza and drawers. The initially released files contained heavy redactions and omitted key categories of documents, such as FBI interviews with Epstein survivors and victims' accounts.
The disappearance of the files has sparked calls for transparency, with Democrats like AOC demanding the resignation of Attorney General Pam Bondi and Kash Patel. The incident has raised questions about what else may be being covered up, and whether the public has a right to know the full truth about the Epstein case.
