Amit Jadhav, a musician and filmmaker, has come forward with allegations that Mohit Suri's 2025 film Saiyaara plagiarized his 2019 short film Khwaabon.
The plot of Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, bears striking similarities to Jadhav's short film, which revolves around a musician searching for his girlfriend who suffers from a memory loss condition.
Jadhav claims he had previously reached out to YRF Talent in 2022, but received no response. He also alleges that he was not given any credit for his work and is seeking acknowledgement for his contribution.
Jadhav's allegations come after he had previously tried to speak up about the similarities between his work and Saiyaara, but was met with silence.
