Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has reacted calmly to the controversy surrounding his name appearing in the Epstein Files, stating that the claims do not bother him.
He dismissed the mention as nothing more than a 'random mail' and joked that he sometimes thinks to himself, 'Wow! What a company I have.'
Kashyap also addressed the Income Tax raid conducted at his residence in 2021, saying it had more to do with his then-production banner, Phantom Films.
Phantom Films was dissolved in 2018 after the directors called it quits after seven years of partnership, agreements, and disagreements.
The Epstein Files list includes current and former political leaders, celebrities, and business figures, including Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton.
Kashyap is known for his work on films such as Satya, Black Friday, and Gangs of Wasseypur, and his last directorial release was Kennedy, a thriller that was finally released on Zee5 on February 20, 2026.
