Actor Bhumi Pednekar has expressed her desire to work with director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh after watching the spy action thriller Dhurandhar. In an interview, she also spoke about the need for change in the film industry, particularly in how small and medium-sized films are perceived and promoted.
Pednekar, who has made a career out of slice-of-life films, believes that the current system is unfair to these types of films. She pointed out that many successful films, such as Dum Laga Ke Haisha, were initially met with low box office numbers but went on to gain popularity through word of mouth.
The actor emphasized the importance of giving small films an opportunity to succeed and encouraged the industry to come together to change the narrative. She also expressed her concern about the decline of theaters and the impact it will have on the industry as a whole.
Pednekar will next be seen opposite Imran Khan in his comeback film.
