Television actor Jaswir Kaur, known for her roles in Anupamaa, CID, and Gangaa, recently spoke about being 'forced' to quit CID by the makers. She faced financial difficulties for seven years after her exit and survived by doing cameo roles.
Jaswir recalled being suddenly asked to leave the show and crying for 45 days afterwards. She had worked on the show for nearly two years without any days off and claimed that none of her co-stars took a stand for her when she was asked to leave.
She revealed that she was removed from the show due to alleged issues with her attitude and behavior, but claimed that she was a victim of black magic during the show's run. An astrologer reportedly told her that a chunk of her hair had been cut and buried in the soil.
Jaswir also spoke about the financial struggles she faced during that period, saying that she only did survival work for seven years and had to sleep on the floor because she couldn't afford to pay EMI for her house.
The actor began her career with the 1998 film Soldier and made her television debut with K. Street Pali Hill in 2004. She gained widespread recognition with Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann in 2006 and has since appeared in several popular shows.
