Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar believes romantic films could soon return to the forefront of Hindi cinema, as storytelling trends tend to cycle.
Speaking during a recent screenwriting workshop, Zoya also shared insights into how she approaches writing and developing stories.
She prefers writing from instinct rather than trying to anticipate what the industry is looking for at any given time.
Zoya is currently working on several projects, including Dahaad 2, and is writing two screenplays for herself.
When asked about the long-standing buzz around a possible sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Zoya chose not to reveal much, saying that any official update would only come when the time is right.
