India's LPG crisis has reached the film industry, with 18 movies in Kerala and several in Bengal facing potential losses of ₹5 crore.

The Kerala Film Producers' Association (KFPA) has warned that the crisis could stall shooting for the 18 movies, with the industry facing significant losses if the situation persists.

On Kerala film sets, a typical day's meals include rice, chapati, chicken, fish, vegetables, and curries, with idli, dosa, appam, and uppamavu served for breakfast.

However, with the LPG crisis, film sets are now relying on wood for cooking, and the usual spread may be reduced, with vegetarian options facing the chopping block.

In Bengal, Tollywood filmmakers are also facing the crisis, with director Dulal Dey forced to rework his production budget due to the LPG crunch.

With the crisis widening, it remains to be seen whether other film industries in India will be affected.
