Actor and TVK chief Vijay and Trisha Krishnan grabbed headlines after attending a wedding reception together in Chennai. This comes after Vijay's wife Sangeeta Sornalingam filed for divorce, mentioning an affair with an unnamed actress. Filmmaker-actor R Parthiban took digs at them, but has now clarified his comments.
In a YouTube video, Parthiban said he never intended to make comments on Trisha and regrets his decision. He acknowledged feeling distressed after people took note of his comments and denied requesting photos be displayed.
Parthiban stated that Trisha should not have attended the wedding reception, but did not intend to say it on stage. He plans to speak about the event separately.
Trisha responded to Parthiban's comments, saying that her name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual. She also stated that crude words without knowledge say more about the speaker than the person they're aimed at.
Vijay's wife Sangeeta has sought an interim order to stay in their Chennai residence and filed a petition for divorce against Vijay in the Chengalpattu family court.
