Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has expressed massive expectations from Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2, stating that if the sequel earns ₹1,500-2,000 crore at the box office, it could disrupt the business of films from the south.
Ram Gopal Varma praised the film and its director, saying that the audience has invested in the characters and story so much that they will follow the trajectory of the characters from part one.
He also admitted that Dhurandhar has changed the language of action choreography in Bollywood, making it more realistic.
Varma believes that if Dhurandhar 2 creates numbers like ₹1500-2000 crores, then all south films will go for a toss, as they are designed in the old-school manner.
The film's trailer was released on Saturday, and Ram Gopal Varma took to X to praise Aditya Dhar and the trailer, calling it 'STRATOSPHERIC LEVEL'.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is one of the most anticipated Hindi films in recent years, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
