Rana Daggubati Credits Telugu Audience for Pushing Filmmakers to New Heights

Actor Rana Daggubati was speaking about the growth of VFX in Indian cinema at the launch of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Rana Daggubati, a renowned actor and producer, expressed gratitude to the Telugu audience for driving filmmakers to create bigger and better cinema. Speaking at the launch of Netflix's Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad, Rana credited the audience for pushing filmmakers to innovate and push boundaries.

He highlighted the success of films like Baahubali, Kalki 2898 AD, and RRR, which were made possible by the collective efforts of technicians from Hyderabad. Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, is considered the first pan-India hit of modern times, grossing ₹2400 crore worldwide.

Rana also spoke about the evolution of VFX in Indian cinema, recalling his early days as a 21-year-old VFX artist in 2006. He believes that the advancements in VFX and CGI have created a stage where filmmakers can accurately visualize and create what they imagine.

The launch of Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad marks a significant milestone in Netflix's global strategy to expand its production innovation infrastructure. The 32,000-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art technology for advanced visual effects and generative virtual effects, supported by a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
