Actor Allu Sirish has expressed his views on the Telugu dubbed versions of Hindi films, stating that the absence of Dhurandhar's Telugu dubbing was a 'huge opportunity missed.'
Speaking with Variety India, Sirish emphasized the importance of dubbing films in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, as the audience is now open to Hindi films.
He praised the makers of Animal for taking the effort to dub it in Telugu, but noted that Chhaava was released in Telugu quite some time after its release, resulting in lost momentum.
Sirish also commended Animal's success in Telugu, stating that Hindi studios should learn from its playbook and be more proactive in releasing their content in Telugu and other languages.
He believes that this approach could have led to increased business and more eyeballs for Dhurandhar, which was a spy and action thriller film starring Ranveer Singh.
The film's sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is set for release on March 19 and has earned over ₹1300 crore globally.
