Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has come out in support of actor-politician Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan amid dating rumours. In a lengthy Instagram post, Vikram expressed his views on the couple's personal lives, stating that they have the right to live and love.
Vikram, who has been 'on both sides of that equation', mentioned that he has been 'somebody's fool' and has also been in loveless relationships. He emphasized that the human heart is fallible and goes where it finds happiness.
Talking about Vijay and Trisha, Vikram said, 'There is dignity in not pretending that something does not exist. There is dignity in not hiding love as though it were something sinful.'
He also highlighted the hypocrisy of people who judge others for their personal lives while hiding their own secrets. Vikram concluded by saying, 'Their films belong to us. Their personal lives do not. I will always stand for the freedom of the human heart. They have a right to live and to love.'
