New Delhi, Actor Zeenat Aman reveals she was never a confident dancer due to lack of formal training. Unlike her contemporaries, this made directors avoid burdening her with complicated choreography.
Aman reminisced about her 1979 film 'The Great Gambler' and shared a video clip of 'Oh Diwano Dil Samhalo' on her Instagram handle. The song, sung by Asha Bhosle, is her personal favourite, depicting 'the confidence and sass of a woman who knows her desirability.'
The film, directed by Shakti Samanta, featured Amitabh Bachchan alongside Aman. The music was composed by the late R D Burman.
Aman confessed, 'I wasn't a very confident dancer as I never had formal training unlike most of the actresses of the time.' Despite this, she could 'groove' and many directors left her to her own dance style.
