Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has strongly condemned the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons over his donations to National Herald and Young India. The ED's move has been seen as a fresh attempt to harass supporters of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Shivakumar claimed. Shivakumar, who has been cooperating with the investigation, expressed his frustration with the ED's actions, saying, 'We have nothing to hide, and it's puzzling why the ED has chargesheeted us. We will fight this in the court of law.' The Deputy CM and his brother, DK Suresh, have been instructed by the Delhi police to provide information by December 19. Shivakumar stated that the only objective behind the ED's summons seems to be to 'torture' supporters of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, creating confusion in the process. Shivakumar emphasized that he and his brother donated money to National Herald and Young India when both Congress organizations were in difficult times, as Congressmen. He added that many others also contributed during that period. The notice was issued on Friday, and Shivakumar's brother had donated money when he was an MP. The Deputy CM has vowed to take necessary legal steps, assuring that they will 'fight this legally'.
