Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kangana Ranaut expressed her support for electoral reforms in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Ranaut argued that implementing a single, nationwide election would reduce voting fatigue and alleviate the strain on national resources. The MP from Mandi also criticized the opposition for creating disruptions in the House, particularly over the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. She accused the opposition of using aggressive tactics, including shouting and physical confrontations, which left her and other parliamentarians 'terrified.' Ranaut further criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for using a Brazilian woman's example to illustrate an alleged vote theft controversy in Haryana. Ranaut questioned the relevance of this example, as the woman had clarified on social media that she had no connection to India or the Haryana elections.
