Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has revealed that the Congress high command has informed both he and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about their impending visit to Delhi to discuss the ongoing power tussle within the party. According to Shivakumar, the high command has told both leaders when they will be summoned to the national capital for a meeting. "We will go, both of us will go," he said, adding that they will wait for the call. This development comes after Siddaramaiah asserted in the Assembly that he would continue in office, citing his confidence that the high command will allow him to complete his five-year term. Shivakumar, however, has stated that the duo will abide by the high command's decision. The power tussle within the ruling party has intensified amid speculations about a change in chief minister in the state, following the Congress government reaching the halfway mark of its five-year term on November 20. Shivakumar's comments have fueled further speculations, with many awaiting the outcome of the Delhi meeting. In a separate development, Shivakumar has planned a visit to Delhi on Tuesday to meet central ministers, where he will discuss matters related to the state's river projects, including the interlinking of rivers. The central government's water resources department has called him regarding the project.
