New Delhi - In a speech at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office, Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS chief, stated that the organisation is not changing, but rather 'gradually unfolding' as it adapts to the times. The event marked the launch of a song album for the upcoming film Shatak, which chronicles the 100-year history of the RSS. Bhagwat highlighted the contrast between the organisation's evolution and the perception of change. He drew an analogy between a sprout emerging from a seed and the mature tree that follows, stating that while the forms are distinct, the fundamental essence remains the same. Bhagwat also paid tribute to Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the RSS, calling him a 'born patriot' who dedicated his life to serving the nation from a young age. Bhagwat shared the story of Hedgewar's childhood, where he faced a traumatic loss at the age of 11, yet showed remarkable resilience and mental strength. Bhagwat's remarks sparked interest in exploring Hedgewar's psychology, suggesting that it could be a subject of study and research. The RSS is celebrating its centenary, and Bhagwat's speech serves as a testament to the organisation's enduring core values and principles.
