Travis Kelce is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs despite retirement rumors, but the team may be looking for a replacement. Analysts predict the Chiefs will select Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers in the 2026 NFL Draft to address the tight end position.
Stowers has emerged as one of the top tight end prospects in the class, totaling 1,773 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in college. He earned first-team All-SEC honors and third-team All-American recognition.
The Chiefs are preparing for life after Kelce, who will turn 37 this season and is entering his 14th NFL season. Drafting a young tight end like Stowers would give the organization an opportunity to develop a potential replacement while Kelce finishes out the final stage of his career.
