Norway's Erling Haaland has defended his manager Stale Solbakken's decision to bench him and other key players in their World Cup defeat to France.
Solbakken made 10 changes in total, with Haaland not even introduced as a substitute in the second half, despite his side trailing 1-4.
Haaland said he 'doesn't care' about being benched and pointed out that Norway would have lost even with their strongest XI.
He praised France's world-class players, saying they 'can go very far' in the tournament.
Solbakken also defended his decision, stating that he would do it again and that he has to make decisions that will take Norway the furthest.
