The Indian women's hockey team secured a 2-0 victory over New Zealand in the FIH Nations Cup final, earning promotion to the Pro League next season.

Navneet Kaur scored in the 4th minute, while Sunelita Toppo doubled India's lead in the 15th minute.

Lalremsiami was awarded Player-of-the-Match, and Deepika Sehrawat finished as the joint-top scorer with six goals.

India remained unbeaten throughout their campaign, defeating several teams including the United States, Japan, and Uruguay.

Hockey India announced a cash award of ₹3 lakh for each player and ₹1.5 lakh for each support staff member.
