Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has praised Michael Carrick's performance as interim boss, but remained tight-lipped about his future at the club.
Carrick has led United to a remarkable turnaround, earning 19 points from 24 games and climbing to third position in the Premier League, sparking Champions League hopes.
Ratcliffe hailed Carrick's impact, saying he's doing an 'excellent job,' but when asked if he'd be given the permanent manager tag, he cryptically replied, 'Not going there.'
United face Aston Villa in their upcoming fixture, who are also facing Lille in the Europa League on Friday, and Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of the game, saying it's 'a fantastic game' and 'there's an awful lot to play for.'
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Carrick's future, United have reportedly shortlisted several potential replacements, including Unai Emery, Andoni Iraola, Roberto De Zerbi, Julian Nagelsmann, and Mauricio Pochettino.
