The Baltimore Ravens backed out of a trade deal with the Las Vegas Raiders for defensive end Maxx Crosby, sparking speculation about the reason behind the decision.

According to reports, Crosby did not pass his physical with the Ravens due to a knee injury, which has been a topic of discussion for several months.

Crosby, 28, has been a Pro Bowl selection each of the past five seasons and has 69.5 sacks in 110 career games (104 starts).

The two sides had agreed on Friday to send Crosby to the Ravens for two first-round picks, but the trade cannot be finalized until the opening of the new league year, which comes on Wednesday at 4 pm ET.
