Mike Evans, the star wide receiver, is set to sign a three-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to his agent, Deryk Gilmore, Evans' decision is not about money, but rather a desire for a new challenge and fresh opportunity.
Evans spent 12 seasons with the Buccaneers, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 662 points and tying Jerry Rice's record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history.
With Evans joining the 49ers, it is likely that Brandon Aiyuk will be leaving the team, as he has reportedly attracted interest from several teams, including the Washington Commanders.
