Badshah Apologizes for Tateeree, Removes Song Amid Haryana Controversy

Badshah was summoned by the Haryana State Commission for Women for his song Tateeree. It was accused of containing objectionable lyrics on women and minors.

Rapper-singer Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, popularly known as Badshah, has sparked controversy with his new song, Tateeree. The Haryana Police has registered an FIR and initiated a lookout notice against the singer over allegations that his song features girls in school uniforms dancing in a Haryana Roadways bus and making objectionable gestures.

Badshah took to Instagram to issue an apology, saying he did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments. He shared a video addressing the controversy, stating that he never had the intention to speak of any women or children of Haryana in an objectionable manner.

The song, a Haryanvi hip-hop single released on March 1, 2026, has been taken down from all platforms. The Haryana State Commission for Women has also taken cognisance of the song and issued a summons to Badshah.
