Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has finally addressed the intense backlash he faced on social media after sharing Kiara Advani's bikini photos from the War 2 teaser with a remark that many deemed indecent.
During a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Varma shared that he has always been open about his comments about beautiful women and what he said could easily be taken as a 'backhanded compliment.'

The filmmaker's comment sparked a lot of flak on social media, with many finding it indecent and disrespectful towards Kiara Advani. Varma admitted that he doesn't remember why he deleted the tweet.
War 2, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, is the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe and starred Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and underperformed at the box office.
