Congress leader DK Shivakumar was sworn in as the 18th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. He was joined by 13 ministers, including G Parameshwar as Deputy Chief Minister.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by heavy security, with posters of Shivakumar celebrating his elevation put across the city.
This major political shift comes after a long power tussle in the state, with Congress coming to power in May 2023.
