ED Cracks Down on Vedanta Group in FEMA Violation Probe

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at Vedanta Group-linked premises as part of its probe into alleged Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations.

The searches, carried out in Delhi and Mumbai, were launched on Monday and continued on Tuesday, with officials citing alleged violations under the civil provisions of FEMA.

An instance of Vedanta Resources refunding a part of the brand fee to Vedanta Ltd. in 2023 is under scrutiny, along with other group structures.

Vedanta has pledged cooperation with authorities and remains committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
